"CANICA" Support Committees
What is a support committee?
It is the union of persons with a social concern who work in their own region
in order to strengthen their environment and to support in different ways the
programs with street children that carries out Paper Children - Colombia in
the cities of Cartagena de Indias and Bucaramanga. This way, their support gets
directly to our children.
Support Committees to the street children, "CANICAS" (Assistance
Center for Street Children)
The name: "canica" (marble), glass balls used by children to play,
especially in the street. More than one player is required for the game. The
idea is to form several support committees whose goal is to strengthen the rehabilitation
of the street children in Colombia.
Support Committees: People who have interest for social issues and get together,
in their own town, region or country in order to intensify the group's social
concern and their environment and, so; support in different ways the programs
with street kids that accomplish Paper Children in Colombia.
